Ghosts
are a recurring shadowy theme throughout history. Pliny the Younger (Gaius
Plinius Caecilius Secundus) is reported to have written in 100 AD about
a ghost hunt that occurred some years prior in Athens. Thomas Edison was
experimenting on a way to communicate with the dead. The Bible also warns
Christians not to pray to the dead. To believe an individual has a soul
or to believe in the trinity of The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost
is an admission of a belief in at least a Holy Ghost and therefore the
possibility of ghosts or ghostly spirits or spirits as all are descriptions
for a spirit. Belief in The Great Spirit, in Atman and Brahman is a belief
in spirits. To believe in any form of an afterlife is a belief in spirits.
Calling a grape red, green, or purple only changes a description; it is
still a grape. Can we be taken seriously if we state that we only believe
that concord grapes exist?
The Pursuit of why has brought the human
race to the point it is at today in every walk of life including but
not nearly limited to religion, horticulture, medical breakthroughs,
rocket science, to the study of the mind in which we barely have a rudimentary
grasp. The historical search for the existence of ghosts is part of
the human condition search for answers to the question of why. Technology
that we invent allow us to lean more about our existence. I believe
that technology will eventually answer questions of proof regarding
ghosts. Perhaps we need to invent that technology yet. I wonder if ghosts
believe in humans. As for me, I continue to search the shadows pondering
the question of why.

I've always been interested in the why behind the unexplained.
I believe one day science will be able to give us all of the answers
to our most burning questions..like is there life after death? I believe
that there is but the next question is..if so.. what form does it take
and is it palpable enough for us to be able to connect with it and make
sense of what we discover?
It's
a commonly accepted fact in the scientific and medical community that
we only use a certain percentage of our brain. Is there a part of our
brain that is geared or wired with a sense beyond the 5 physical senses
we commonly accept and rely upon? Does our reliance on these 5 senses
prevent us from tapping into a 6th sense we may have.. may have once
had..or may not have completely developed yet? Much like when you lose
a sense.. like sight or hearing.. your other senses become stronger
to compensate. If we were to find a way to shield our brain from the
sensory overload our 5 senses bombard us with every day.. could or would
we be able to listen to that 6th sense more easily? I believe one day..
science will give us that answer.
I'm
a Medical Illustrator. I'm a man of art and science. I'm naturally inquisitive.
I'm a problem solver and a hopeles romantic. I want desperately to believe
that there is something else out there and that one day we will find
and understand it. Until then.. I'll keep hunting.. I'll keep trying.
And I'll keep helping other people try and understand as well. Maybe
in my journey from darkness to enlightenment..I'll find an answer or
two. And when I do.. I'll be sure to share them with all of you. That's
a promise! |

I
have always believed in the paranormal. Since I was a kid I would have
strange things in my house that you could not explain. This led me into
research of my own. |

For
as long as I can remember, I have always had an interest in the paranormal.
As a child, I experienced many things that peeked my curiosity. I have
always had a desire to find answers and possibly a way to communicate.
I am a strong believer that when this physical life is over, there is
much more waiting on the other side. I approach all of our situations
with a healthy dose of skepticism as well as an open mind to whatever
I may encounter.
I love to do investigations and am always
eager to help someone if there is a problem I think we can help solve.
I enjoy each and every situation we enter. With the experiences I have
personally had, I feel that we can actually continue to use new things
to bridge the gap between our physical world and the one beyond. Once
you have had one of these experiences yourself, it really opens your
mind to what might be out there. That is the big reason why I continued
to search on my own ..until I found my team. Together we all bring different
talents and thoughts to the table. A well oiled machine. We all have
very similar beliefs and the same interests in the paranormal world.
I come from the Cleveland area and have
done many investigations in both public and private places around the
city. Now that I have joined up with Team Spectre...I have branched
out to the south and am adding a lot of new places to my list. There
are sooooo many places with such interesting and amazing history. So
many places that held such insensity that they have left their mark
long after the physical people and places have changed. Learning about
these places and then going into them and searching for that evidence
is what we do best. I live for that thrill!! Who knew I would actually
be spending time in abandoned prisons, institutions, theatres, houses,
and even local buisnesses...in the dark...looking for these bits of
proof. It is a rewarding , thrilling, and truly amazing hobby. I feel
very lucky to have found the people I did with the same feelings and
hobby. I look forward to many, many more adventures. Keep your mind
open and who knows what you will discover!!

Steve
has over 20 years experience in Radio as an announcer and TV as host of
"The Hunting and Fishing Show". In 2008, Steve joined Team SPECTRE
on a few local ghost investigations. "How could I say no when I was
invited to join the team. The SPECTRE folks are top notch and do this
for the right reasons. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here. The most important
thing I have learned in my two decades of paranormal research is that
you have to be skeptical of EVERYTHING you see and hear. Not every shadow
in the woods or bump in the night is Bigfoot or a ghost. I have seen enough
over the last two years to believe there are earth bound spirits that
co-exist with us. Some seem to be stuck here. Others seem to not know
they are dead or have no intentions of leaving because of unfinished business.
I know one thing for sure. I won't find the answers sitting on my couch
watching TV".
"I will never try to convince anyone
of what I happen to believe in. It's their choice. I am more than happy
to share my experiences and let them form their own opinion. All I can
say is grab your backpack and follow me into the woods one night. Or,
grab your flashlight and let's go down to that dark creepy basement.
One person's denial of something doesn't cause it to cease to exist.
The day I quit asking WHY, will be the day they put me in the ground.
But I guess that won't be so bad. Team SPECTRE can investigate ME then".

I
think I have always been interested in things most people think are ridiculous.
My first trip to the Mansfield Reformatory hooked me forever. I love the
excitement of pulling into a driveway, looking at the old building and
wondering what will happen in the darkness. Working with Team SPECTRE
has been a blast! The whole team works well together and every investigation
is truly an adventure. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of the people
who pick up a hitchhiker and as they drive down the road the person disappears
from the back seat. That would help me with my "FIX" for the
paranormal. I look forward to growing with the team. |

Throughout
my youth, I always had a natural affinity in the paranormal. My first
experience with such a phenomenon occurred in my uncle’s huge house,
built during the early 20th century in Cleveland, Ohio. Several ‘spook-like’
and mysterious events took place during my visits and I was convinced
that there was a certain presence in his house. At first no one believed
me, so I investigated further to obtain additional evidence. Later on,
other family members began to experience mysterious events in that house.
As a result, these occurrences furthered my interest in the paranormal.
My curiosity grew exponentially to learn as much as I could about such
paranormal activity and related theories.
Ghost hunting has become a full-time
hobby and being a member of Team SPECTRE affords me the opportunity
to explore these paranormal presences with hands-on, in the field research
and I love every second of it! …LIGHTS OUT!

Chris
Senior Associate Investigator |
Chris
has lived all his life in the Akron area. From watching Scooby Doo and
reading Agatha Christie novels from a young age, Chris has been interested
in the paranormal all his life. But the interest turned into reality when
at age nine he had a near death experience and from then on has been able
to “feel” the presence of a spirit as well as see ghosts and
spirits. After being involved in a few ghost groups, Chris honed his gift
to channeling , hosting bad entities that needed to be banished to scared
or trapped spirits that were being crossed over, he used his energy to
assist these wayward spirits to find rest on the other side. In joining
Team Spectre, Chris uses his talent to assist in investigations and help
spirits in any way he can. He is set up to find the answers he seeks of
what are spirits and why they are here. And why does he have a gift of
being sensitive to ghosts. Overall Chris believes his purpose in the group
as well as in life is to help the living and the ones who have passed
on to find peace and understanding. |
